Preparation and Preservation Services
Placenta Encapsulation
The placenta is steamed (if requested), dehydrated, ground into powder, and placed into vegetarian capsules for postpartum use.
Encapsulation is often chosen by families seeking structured postpartum supplementation.
Placenta Powder
The placenta is dehydrated and ground into fine powder without encapsulation. This option allows families to incorporate the powder into smoothies, teas, or custom preparations.
Placenta Tincture
A small portion of the placenta is preserved in alcohol to create a long-term tincture. Tinctures are often used months or years later during hormonal shifts such as weaning or menopause.
Keepsakes & Artistic Offerings
Placenta Prints
The placenta is gently cleaned and pressed onto archival paper to create a natural “Tree of Life” print.
Each print is unique and serves as a visual honoring of pregnancy and birth.
Cord Keepsake
The umbilical cord is shaped and dried into a symbolic form as a tangible remembrance of your baby’s connection to you.
Preparation & Handling
Placenta preparation is completed with intentional sanitation practices using clean, food-grade equipment and strict cross-contamination precautions. Placentas must be refrigerated within two hours of birth and transported on ice. Preparation is typically completed within 48–72 hours.
Placenta services must be reserved prior to 36 weeks to ensure availability.
